Hang Thai Watch ("we", "us") is a Malaysian retailer of brand new and pre-owned luxury watches, established in 1984, operating outlets at SS2 Petaling Jaya, Atria Shopping Gallery and Bangsar Village, Kuala Lumpur, together with this website at hangthaiwatch.com.my.

We collect personal information you provide to us directly: your name, phone number and email address when you place an order, make an enquiry, or submit a sell / trade-in, sourcing, consignment or repair request; your delivery address when an order is shipped; payment references such as a bank-transfer receipt you choose to upload; and photographs of a watch you submit with a request. We also collect limited technical data automatically — pages visited, referrer and IP address — for site analytics, and we use cookies strictly for essential functions: keeping you signed in, remembering your language preference and holding your shopping cart.

Your information is used to process and deliver orders; to respond to enquiries; to manage repair, sell / trade-in, sourcing and consignment requests; to issue receipts and service records; to meet our legal, accounting and audit obligations; and to improve the website. We contact you only in connection with your order or request — we do not send marketing messages without your consent.

We never sell or rent your personal data. It is shared only with the service providers needed to serve you: our payment processors (to take payment securely), insured courier companies (to deliver your order), our web-hosting provider, and Google Workspace services used for internal record keeping. Each provider receives only the minimum information required, and we may also disclose data where required by Malaysian law or a competent authority.

Card and online-banking payments are handled entirely by our licensed payment gateway provider. Your full card details never reach or pass through our servers. Bank-transfer receipts you upload are stored securely and used solely to verify payment.

Personal data is stored on secured servers. Photographs and documents submitted with service requests are held in access-controlled storage that is not publicly reachable and is visible only to authorised staff. We retain transaction records for as long as Malaysian tax and accounting law requires, and request records only for as long as they are needed to serve you.

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not legally required to keep it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within 14 working days.
